Woe

I know that I am quite ill when the TV show ‘Horrible Histories’ doesn’t entertain me anymore…
or maybe I’ve just grown?

Is there anything more heartbreaking than watching Harry Potter cradle a dying Dobby in his arms?

Yes, a 22 year old woman who nearly wet her pants with excitement at the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2….

Sentient Animals

When our house was graced with the presence of young William, not to be confused with WIll.I.Am, my eyes were opened to the fact that we urgently need to dive into the sea to share the gospels with dolphins, for surely they need to be saved too? Therefore, with my extensive knowledge of the CEZMS in India in the 1880s (Raynor, 2010) I am going to start a Dolphin Missionary Soceity (No death for dolphins will be our tagline). Now how best to reach the target audience you say? I have hopes to raise funds to manufacture a special dolphin suit that will allow me to infiltrate a school of dolphins and let them gain my trust. Then I will spend tiresome months learning their beautiful high-pitched language before revealing the Truth to them and setting up a dolphin Church in every Ocean. If you are interested in joining me in my vision or would like to support me through donations please send me an email to: ithinkihavelostit@hotmail.co.uk.

Many Thanks
Katie Raynor (Head of DMS)

Sarah Hall

Sarah: reader of second-class literature.

But I love her anyway. (It’s hard when I see Jodi in her hand). It’s good to have someone that tests your friendship, surely if we can get through drivel like that we can get through anything?!

Dreams and Truths

So I had a dream last night that myself and my housemates Steve and Josh were playing Amercian Football with Barack Obama. Barack had an abnormally large afro and carried a magnifying glass around with him. Is this dream a reflection of the current popularity of the US President?…

….Probably not.
Maybe this strange dream was a product of watching the film RED before bed. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245526/). You can guarentee when I visit home for a few days I will be exposed to new blockbusters I would refuse to pay money to see at the cinema (I’m really not a film snob, I just have standards!). Anyway, I must admit I did lol quite a few times. It turns out that watching a bunch of oldies (who are actually very good actors), including Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren, face death with such a light-hearted approach is enough to bring anyway out of a stupor for a short while. If only the CIA were trying to kill me because of a massacre of a village in Guatemala I helped clean up, then all my fears would be gone surely and I’d be bouncing around trying to work out who was trying to kill me and my croonies and I’d be VERY happy about it!

Yes, you are right, I did use lol as a verb in that previous paragrah – Ha Ha, screw you English language.

Still on the subject of films, I saw the King’s Speech the other night with my mother. Yes, it is a very good film, but our enjoyment of it was strangly increased by the heavy snoring of a gentleman in the row behind. It was actually quite annoying and distracting from the film, but definitely worth it to watch an angry young woman storm up to the old guy and shove him awake then scream ‘Can you not snore?! We are trying to watch the film!’ whilst pointing excessively at the screen. He may have been asleep but I’m sure he was aware of what direction the screen was in.

On a more serious note, I have to admit I’m getting the feeling that my world view that consists of the addition and subtraction of human points might not be the Truth….
….Do I get plus 3 points for admitting this?!

Update from the Hill

We were experiencing a bog roll famine, bad times for me, especially when my bladder wakes me up three times a night urging me to visit the loo once more. I think the porcelain throne and me are close to being in a serious relationship, I don’t spend more time sitting on anyone else. However, crisis has been averted and I can now stop stealing bog roll from work as the boys visited Morrison’s.

On a sadder note, Stevie is bed-ridden. No he’s not extremely lazy (like me) but rather ill. We all wish him a speedy recovery!

Emily has revealed she has a rather peculiar fondness for red coats. Each to their own I say…
